The whole thing is off.
I’ve taken a step back;
I’m reluctant to believe you.
I believe I see the real you.
Side glances and defensive tones.
I know whats going on here.
I’m a stranger in my own body again,
On the outside looking in.
I watch myself make the same mistake,
Buy the same crap,
Being placed in a cage.
I raise my hand to beg the question,
But I have not been called on yet.
